Serving Size:

2-4 servings per pound, depending on how you prepare them.  As a component of a dish (like scallops over pasta), plan on 3-4 servings per pound. As the main component of a dish, plan on 2-3 servings per pound.

We're on a mission to show you what scallops are SUPPOSED to taste like, and if you haven't tried these, you're in for a treat.  No scallop on the market can match the flavor of a fresh Maine Dayboat Scallop.

The first thing you'll notice is the pure, sweet smell of the sea. The texture, sweetness and brine level will vary by location, but ALL Maine scallops are delicious and ours are guaranteed to be the best you can get. 

These are "boat run" which means they come right off the boat with only minimal sorting, so the size will vary. Plan on roughly 18 to a pound.

Each package is labeled with the name of the fisherman who caught them, the name of his boat, the area they were harvested and the date of harvest, all sealed in oxygen-permeable cryovac bags for optimum quality.

We recommend you purchase fresh items together (fresh scallops, live oysters, smoked seafood) and frozen items together, as mixing the two will diminish quality.

And remember: at checkout you'll select the shipping week, not the shipping day. We generally ship via UPS Next Day Air on Wednesday, meaning you'll receive your scallops on Thursday.

We can guarantee something else that's very important: unlike 95% of US sea scallops, our scallops will NEVER touch fresh water.  The texture of these scallops is completely different from what you're used to: when you pop these scallops in your mouth you'll experience a silky, buttery feel and toothsome texture that's hard to describe, but once you've had it you can't go back to scallops from traditional channels.
